Plot Summary

Percy Jackson is a different kind of kid. It's not because he has ADHD and is dyslexic. It's not because he's never known his dad and instead has to put up with his stepfather, Smelly Gabe. It's not because he keeps getting kicked out of school for inciting curious incidents. It's because he's not really human. That is, not entirely. Percy is a demigod, a fact he only finds out at the age of twelve when the legendary Greek monsters come after him. His mom takes him to Camp Halfblood, a sanctuary for demigods, but she's taken by the minotaur in the process. At Camp Halfblood, Percy discovers that he is the son of Poseidon, one of the Big Three gods who was never supposed to have any more kids because they end up too powerful. Scared, confused and snarky, Percy sets out from Camp with his friends Grover and Annabeth to prevent a war between the gods. That's why everyone thinks he's going, at least. But Percy hasn't given up hopes for finding his mom.

Grover goes missing in Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters. Not only that, but Camp Halfblood has been poisoned and its defenses are low. With war brewing and evil things rising from the Underworld, Percy, Annabeth and Percy's half-brother Tyson set out to recover Grover and the Golden Fleece.

Annabeth is kidnapped in Percy Jackson and the Titan's Curse. While she, Percy, Grover and Thalia are on a mission to recover two demigods from a school, Annabeth is taken by a monster. Now she and the goddess Artemis are in the hands of the titan Atlas and must hold up the weight of the sky while the titan joins forces with the rising darkness. When a mission is launched to recover the prisoners, Percy is excluded--but that in no way is going to keep him from coming along.

In Percy Jackson and the Battle of the Labyrinth, war draws near with the evil titan Lord Kronos. To save Camp Halfblood, Percy, Grover and Annabeth must venture down into the Labyrinth and find its creator. But many monsters and surprises lie in wait for them in the darkness of the changing maze.

In the conclusion to the Percy Jackson series, Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian, war with Kronos comes at last. Percy faces a dark prophecy, a dangerous trip to the Underworld and a surplus of rather nasty monsters as Camp Halfblood finally engages Kronos' armies in combat. The stakes are higher than any Percy has faced before: the outcome of the war means the fall or preservation of Olympus. Being a demigod just can't be easy, can it?
